Know God, Be Strong and Do Exploits

Know God, Be Strong, and Do Exploits

…but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. Daniel 11:32b (KJV)

This Scripture holds a huge promise available to us. Our strength comes from knowing God. Daniel surely knew God. No matter what was going on in his life Daniel spent time with God. Daniel 6:10 lets us know that Daniel prayed to God three times a day. He knew what pleased God and what did not. That is why when Daniel and his three friends (Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah - their Hebrew names and not their Babylonian names) were taken from their homeland they did not eat of the king’s food and drink.

We also need to know what pleases God, do that, and know what displeases Him and avoid it. We come to know God through His Word. Daniel was a student of the Word. Even in exile, according to Daniel 9:1-2, he read the prophecies revealed to the prophet Jeremiah, and understood what was going on.

Knowing the Word is knowing God. The more we allow God to reveal the Word to us, the greater revelation we have about God. The more we grow in knowing God the greater our spiritual strength will be. Our faith will build to the point that we believe all things are possible because nothing is impossible for God. No matter what the obstacle, mountain or barrier is we will be able to run through that demonic troop and leap over the demonic wall.

As we grow in knowing God, He will teach our hands to war and our fingers to fight. We will fight the good fight of faith and walk in the exploits of God. God revealed the dream of king Nebuchadnezzar to Daniel and gave him the interpretation of that dream. Daniel was put into the lion’s den and God sent an angel to shut the mouths of the lions. When Daniel’s three friends were thrown into the fiery furnace, they came out without a scratch on them, unbound and did not even smell like smoke. God is no respecter of persons.

This week work on knowing God a little more each day. Before you realize it, you will be doing exploits just Daniel and his three friends. It all starts with knowing God. Know God, Be Strong and Do Exploits.
